Autumn 2017

Sites Update

In September of this year we were delighted to welcome three new programmes, in Rotherham, Dudley and Hythe.  The first two sites are under the Premier Tennis banner, which is very ably managed by Jeff Hunter, and join Jeff’s other programmes in Oxford, Northampton and Sheffield, which also receive funding from GIYM.  Hythe is managed by Nick Skelton, who has extensive experience within the region, having worked in Hythe area for many years.  The involvement of Jeff and Nick mean that all three sites are in very capable and experienced hands indeed and the new programmes takes the total of GIYM programmes countrywide to twenty-two.

As of September 2016, GIYM has 19 programmes up and running at sites across the country. The newest, Lambeth, Northampton and Sheffield, are proving to be excellent additions with in excess of 500 primary school children receiving free tennis lessons from these three areas alone

Autumn 2016

GIYM appoints a new Chief Executive

GIYM is pleased to announce that Abigail Tordoff has been appointed GIYM’s Chief Executive Officer effective 1 November 2016.   Abigail is a former professional tennis player, with over 15 years experience in the sports and entertainment business. 

  “Abigail’s many years of experience within tennis as well as her understanding of the challenges that GIYM faces as a charity made her the perfect candidate to help grow and develop our objectives and aims” said Michael Stotesbury, the founder of GIYM.
