The DAN MASKELL TENNIS TRUST

The charity was set up in 1997 by the British Tennis Foundation in the name of the late Dan Maskell OBE, the world-famous TV commentator known affectionately as “the voice of Wimbledon”.  The aim is to seek more disabled players and provide opportunities for anyone to play either simply for leisure or to compete at any level from beginner through to GB representation in European and World events (including Olympics).

With funding from the Trust,  Peter Norfolk won Great Britain’s first ever paralympic medal when he won the Gold  in the Quad Singles Wheelchair Event at the Athens Olympics in 2004.
